The use of language and vocabulary as used in Negotiations or in a Power Projecting Conversation is quite interesting.
Vocabulary and Tone can be used to mitigate harshness and so also to make a mild statement appear harsh.
Phrases like "Let me put it this way...." or "Since you put it that way...." means attention has been given to model the words.
