Crucifixion Hypothesis

(Ideas from a Documentary).

Some  that points towards the possibility that  a group conspired to protect Jesus from dieing on the Cross  by enacting his death before Others.

1) Timing of Crucifixion- Just hours before  Saturday

At a time when revolutionaries against roman empire would be crucified  for days ,inflicting a slow death, sending a strong message to the masses, Jesus was on cross only for a few hours. The timing of Crucifixion may have been deliberately set to Friday evening.  On arrival of Saturday  on account  of being sabbath, the holy day of the Jews , the body could be taken down fast.

2) Someone else  carried the Cross - Quite lenient.

The troops allowed  a helping hand  to prevent or minimize casualty on Jesus.

3) Something out of ordinary was given to him on Cross

No. Not water. Effort was taken to give a  dubious liquid with sore taste. Quite strange. And Jesus immediately fell unconscious after tasting this.  Was this an anesthetic that immediately rendered him unconscious?

4) Death was not made sure.

Before the bodies were brought down,  the death of persons on either side was made sure by the  stroke of a spear, but Jesus is left untouched. Someone high in the military hierarchy must have forbidden this . Maybe this appeared too soft to the people there, so had to do more convincing- a insider soldier had to pierce him mildly  with no damage done to the internal organs . This should explain  no blood being spilled out.

5) An exclusive cemetery near the place of crucifixion

Before his family ask could ask for the possession of his body , someone high in the Jewish society steps in and asks for it which is then moved to a nearby place.  It is said to be a new cemetery which  means that there wasn't a cemetery there before. It may have just sprouted out there as a result of a plan.

What may have happened inside? Jesus  being treated for his injuries?

Voila, three days later, he is back.  Miracle!!!!!

He may had to hide, sneak around  wearing disguises .  Many times  his own disciples could not recognize him and in the end he had to flee for his own long term safety

He may have bid his farewell to his disciples and went away  from Israel- recorded in the Bible quite decorative as "ascended into heaven".

Sometimes truth can be stranger than fiction. But many times its just  a simple stretch of imagination.
